12/12/2024

Hi all, we've gotten some of the concrete for the ADA poured.  We're now waiting on the propane and the inspections.  We're oh, so, close.  We'll continue to pop an update, at least weekly, until we're open.  Today is a bit of an orientation day at the building with the newly hired folks.  We're doing some evaluations and having our team all hands so we can make sure we're all set to serve you the day we can open the doors!

Hi all, so we're really waiting on the concrete to be poured and the inspections to be completed.  So we're at the mercy of the inspectors and the weather.  Once we have that done we can give an actual opening date.  We appreciate everyone hanging tough with us as we do everything we can to get this thing done.  We will continue to provide updates as we can.

Happy Thanksgiving all!  We have the kennels up, inside painted, and electrical box in.  In addition the floors have been finished so now we just need a good day for concrete to get poured.  Outside of that we had a couple inspections but still have to wait on some final ones to get the doors open.

We really wanted to be open this week but thems the breaks :/.  Thank you again for your continued patience.  We're so close!  We've added some more photos below to show some of the progress.

Jean is on site this week so here are some further updates as they come in:

• Drywall is up and they are mudding today.  Painting tomorrow. FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) goes on tomorrow as well.
• Framing has passed inspection.
• Gutters are going on now and they are fencing the external kennels.
• Last but not least, they are compacting the walkway

We'll keep posting updates as we can.

11/18/2024

Sharing some more updates.  We met with the team and pushed on getting some dates moved up.  Here are the main things going on this week:

• Inspector is coming on site today to check the framing then the drywall will go up.
• All subs have been contacted to ensure they can come and finish the interior of the building this week.
• The propane delivery service has us at the top of their list but we are waiting for a confirmation of the delivery date.
• Gutter team is coming back tomorrow as, because of the snow, they were unable to install today.
• Concrete for the walkway and ADA parking will be moved up to tomorrow in the hopes that the snow melts and it doesn't snow again.  (We cannot pour if it is snowing)
• All the gravel for the main drive areas has been delivered (we are having to do gravel for now as we cannot get the asphalt in with reasonable assurance it wont have integrity issues during the winter but we will transition to asphalt in the spring/summer).
• Fences should be up by tomorrow and the kennels should all begin installation Thursday.  The hope is that they should be all set by Friday after the electrical team has finished their jobs.

Hello all, we are very close.  We are going through final inspections this week then we can start to accept bookings and welcome dogs into the facility.  We are on track to hopefully be open on, or around, the week of thanksgiving.  Thank you again for your patience!

It was great to see the awesome turnout yesterday and to meet all of you!  You made us feel so welcomed and really showed us that this is a definite need!  You confirmed what we knew was the case...we are in the right community :).

We have a small update to share.  Final inspections are scheduled for the week of November 18th.  Depending on when we have everything pass, we will open up bookings that week and begin accepting dogs asap.  Thank you for your continued patience as we work to get open!

10/30/24

Hello all!  We're looking forward to hopefully meeting some of you today at our ribbon cutting and chatting about our services!  We won't have the building fully finished today but the building will be up so rain or shine you should be able to come take a look at the bones of the facility.  We also put together some mock-ups for folks to see how the facility will look when it's completed in the next few weeks!  We'll have a couple apps on hand, will be handing out some stickers, and will be doing what we can to get folks signed up/registered.  Please feel free, as always, to reach out with any questions.

Rocks!  We have just been informed by our excavator that digging into another portion of the property there were rocks under the surface that require a little more time to break up.  As such, we're projected to be 2 weeks past the original date of November 4th, 2024 and are now projected for a November 18th, 2024 opening.  We were sad to hear this news but are unable to control what mother nature has decided to structure the land as.  We will keep you updated as we know more.  We're sorry for any inconvenience in your planning and are in active conversations with our team to see what we can do to get open asap while still ensuring the safety and happiness of our furry patrons.  Thank you for your continued patience!

Everything is still right on track!  We're planning on having a soft-launch for folks to come tour the facility on 10/30/24 from 4pm - 6pm and we'll be there to help folks do intake for their pups and, provided we can work out schedules, we may also be able to do some evaluations to get started for our November 4th, 2024 launch.  We're looking forward to hopefully seeing you at the "soft launch" or on opening day!

We have some great news, we will be having our grand opening ceremony on Oct. 30th!  You'll be welcomed to come and tour the facility and celebrate our ribbon cutting with us.  We're working on getting some food trucks to come up and a little march from the Sunriver Village to the facility to show off some fancy dog costumes :).  We also have our rates:

• $25 for five hours
• $48 for full day
• $55 for overnight stays

Our facility is roughly 3,200 sqft and we're also appending some pictures of our family as well as the current construction.   We cannot wait to see you!!!

Happy Labor Day all!  Apologies on the delay as we get everything sorted.  We are now projecting a Halloween 2024 opening.  We are working with the chamber of commerce to organize a pup parade to the daycare and to have food/beer trucks there as, if nothing else, a soft opening to show you our facility.  (If you drive by you'll see our crews hard at work getting the concrete and building up.)  Thank you so much for your patience as we work diligently to welcome your pups!

We are working with our engineers and project management team to get a finalized schedule in order to be able to post when we'll be open.  We are currently projecting October but just need final confirmation.  We're hoping to have that in the coming week and then we'll post the rates, services, and even merch if you're so inclined.  Thank you again for your interest and patience as we get everything finalized!

7/24/24

Approval!  We finally got our approval and are now getting construction underway.  As we stated earlier we expect to be open in roughly 2 months provided our engineers and subcontractors are available scheduling wise.  We are working out the numbers on the rates now that we have the fees from the city and hope to have those items up in the next few weeks.  Thank you so much for your patience!

6/23/24

Hello friends!  We don't have any new/great updates at this time.  We are still awaiting approval.  The only thing we got from the city was a request for us to select an inspector which we have done.  We are working as hard as we can to get open as fast as we can.  The one thing we can say is the once we do gain approval we'll be open roughly 2 months after that date.  We have everything we need outside of the approval and cannot wait to welcome your fur babies :).  

We know there have been questions about our rates, and we want to be able to answer those ASAP, we just have to know our costs from the city before we can finalize it.  We promise we'll rapidly address your questions once we have that approval.  Thank you so much for your patience!

Still waiting.  Nothing new to report other than we are staying on top of it as much as we can.  We will provide an update here once we have a date.  You'll notice rapid changes after that with pricing, scheduling, documentation gathering (vaccine records) and such after we have everything confirmed.  Thank you for your continued patience as we await approval!

Hi all!  We're still awaiting feedback from the county.  We have all of the trusses and the kennels ready to go the minute we get the OK.  In speaking with our engineers we think it will be around 2 months (at the soonest) that we'll be up and running once approval is garnered.  Thank you for your continued patience as we do everything we can get to get those doors open to welcome your fur baby!

We are expecting to open up by the summer of 2024.  

We were originally projected spring but due to the slow moving process of the county we have not been able to garner approval yet.  We were informed that, due to some economic issues, the county had to lay off a lot of folks that would have otherwise gotten us to where we wanted to be.

We have also (as of this week) received feedback from the county and are working to address their one concern.  At that point we hope to get approval and move forward with construction.  The concern they approached us with was whether or not the roof could support solar panels and the snow load.  We believe it can but our engineers need to provide evidence to that effect now.

We do know we're at/near the top of the pile and plan on appending a video to outline additional details.

We are no longer hiring for the winter as we are fully staffed but please check back again in the spring/summer as we may have some openings then!

We offer the following services:

Half Day Daycare (5 hours)..........$25

Full Day Daycare (8hours)............$48

Overnight......................................$55

We will require a couple items from you. Please visit our "Intake Form" page to get more information.  We require:

1. Up to date vaccination records.
2. A 2 hour evaluation period.
3. A form to be filled out noting any specific needs/care instructions for your pup.

We require this information in order to ensure the best possible service for your fur baby.  Please note this may change slightly as we move closer to opening but we expect these to be the core items required.

Our facility is 3,200 sq ft with three designated play areas based on energy level, size of dog, among other criteria to make sure all pups have the best experience.

We also feature 6 kennels if you would prefer your dog be alone while you hit the slopes or enjoy a night out.

Finally, we do have an outdoor portion to our facility for both the kennels and the dogs playing so we can take them out when the weather is nice.

We are hoping, as we can afford it, to expand into more of our 2.81 acre lot and provide more spaces and services for a lot more dogs.

Yes.  We made sure the entire facility had both heating and cooling to make sure your pup is well taken care of.  It is also insulated to ensure comfort for all our guests :).

Right now, we're trying to get our software to integrate with the website.  Given we haven't gotten it all set quite yet we will take bookings when we have our grand opening (on October 30th) live at the facility but we will also take bookings the day after over the phone and through email.  

Again, please remember we need the information and time listed above under "What will I need to provide to be able to bring my dog to daycare?"

We will do what we can to facilitate online bookings asap so keep checking back!
